Holland America Line’s former Veendam which was sold by Carnival Corporation last month has been renamed Aegean Majesty, in preparation for her new life with new owners.
According to AIS data from Marine Traffic, the former Veendam now displays the name Aegean Majesty and the flag of registry has been changed from The Netherlands to Bermuda.
It is still unclear who the new owners of the ship are, although the ship arrived in Katakolon, Greece on Monday to undergo modifications.
Sister ship Maasdam, which was also sold, is currently anchored off Limassol and remains unchanged. Former fleet mates Amsterdam and Rotterdam have travelled to Rotterdam to undergo maintenance and rebranding prior to joining the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines fleet as Bolette and Borealis.
