Greek ferry operator Seajets has acquired two former Cruise & Maritime Voyages ships at auction.
Magellan and Columbus have been sold to the company, which has also recently acquired Oceana, Maasdam, Veendam, and Pacific Aria.
What Seajets is planning to do with six cruise ships is still unknown, however the owner of the company did talk about plans to introduce overnight mini-cruises on the former Oceana when that was sold over the summer. Seajets could also be buying ships in the hope the second-hand market picks back up and the ships can be sold at a higher cost, once cruising resumes.
Columbus and Magellan are both laid-up in London Tilbury, since the British cruise line entered administration in July. Columbus is expected to be towed by tug to Greece soon.
