The second season of the documentary series Mighty Cruise Ships is to air on the Discovery Channel in Canada next month.
The series will take a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most innovative, and unique cruise ships in the industry, kicking off with Carnival Cruise Line’s new Carnival Vista on February 12 at 7 p.m. ET.
Other ships featured in the six-episode series include Quark’s Ocean Endeavour, MSC Cruises’ MSC Divina, Viking Ocean Cruises’ Viking Sea, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Europa 2, and Star Clipper’s Royal Clipper.
The first season, which aired in 2014, featured insight into Paul Gauguin, Le Soléal, Azamara Journey, Stella Australis, and Marco Polo. The series is a spin-off of Mighty Ships, which showcases a variety of maritime vessels. Several other cruise ships have featured on Mighty Ships in the past, including Cunard’s Queen Mary 2, Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas, NCL’s Norwegian Epic, Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Serenity, and Hurtigruten’s Fram.
The second season will premiere in the United Kingdom on Quest at a later date.
