Royal Caribbean Becomes Official Travel Partner Of Durham County Cricket Club


Royal Caribbean International and Durham County Cricket Club have today announced a new two-year sponsorship agreement, underlining Royal Caribbean’s commitment to the travel industry and wider community in the region.

The partnership was revealed today at Durham County Cricket Club, during a press conference to announce the appointment of Sir Ian Botham as the club’s new Chairman. The upgraded sponsorship agreement, which first began in 2015, will see Royal Caribbean become the club’s official travel partner. 

Durham CCC chairman, Sir Ian Botham, said: “Royal Caribbean is a valued partner of the club and this new agreement takes our relationship to another level. They have built a reputation for innovation and we are very pleased to be associated with them.”

The partnership will include TV-visible branding around the Emirates Riverside stadium as well as logo inclusion on Durham’s Specsavers County Championship shirt design, as well as a hospitality lounge at the stadium.

The Royal Caribbean lounge will serve as the company’s first dedicated training facility and hospitality space in the North of England, showing the brand’s commitment to travel agents and partners in the region. Training days and industry events taking place in the Royal Caribbean lounge will be announced over the coming months.

We will also use it as a way to thank them for their unwavering support by inviting them to future games with hospitality.”
