Royal Caribbean Add Lifeguards To All Of Its Ships

Independence of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)

As part of Royal Caribbean’s new water safety program, trained lifeguards will now monitor pools on all Royal Caribbean International ships.

The new safety program will also see complimentary swim vests available for pool use for children between the ages of 4 and 12. These can be collected from the towel stations.

Clearer signage will also be added near pools, and information will also be displayed on the ships outdoor movie screens and in cabins.

Adventure Ocean will offer a 15-minute water safety presentation on embarkation day, and water safety will be mentioned as part of the captain’s muster drill announcement.

Lifeguards will be present on Oasis of the Seas from tomorrow (Feb 26), with the safety program being rolled out to the rest of the fleet over the next four months.
