Riviera Travel, the UK’s leading escorted tour company, has launched a collection of new escorted tours, which include a transatlantic voyage aboard Queen Mary 2, and a sailing around the Mediterranean aboard Aegean Odyssey.
The 14-day Queen Mary 2 – New York & Niagara Falls escorted tour departs on May 24, and October 13, 2017. You will embark the newly remastered Queen Mary 2 in Southampton, for seven leisurely days as you traverse the Atlantic Ocean, bound for New York. After a three-night stay exploring the sights of New York City, the tour continues and goes North to witness the captivating spectacle of Niagara Falls, staying two nights in a hotel, which offers views of the Falls. You will then visit Toronto, visiting the CN Tower, before flying home to your choice of UK airports.
Departing on July 21, 2017, the 17-day Queen Mary 2 – New York & the Rocky Mountaineer tour will start with a transatlantic sailing, aboard Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2, with a three night stay in the Big Apple after the voyage. After a flight to Calgary in Canada, you will have the chance to enjoy two nights at a spa resort in Banff, followed by two days on the Rocky Mountaineer train with exclusive SilverLeaf service including breakfast and hot meals, plus the option to upgrade to GoldLeaf service. The tour will conclude with a two-night visit to Vancouver, before flying back to London.
Departing August 31, 2017, the Queen Mary 2 – New York, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas & the Original Queen Mary escorted tour kicks off with a voyage on Queen Mary 2 to New York, followed by a three-night stay. You will then fly to Phoenix, Arizona taking in the stunning arid landscapes and board the iconic Grand Canyon Railroad. After detouring down the historic Route 66, you will be able to see the imposing Hoover Dam on your way to Las Vegas, where you’ll stay the night. The tour will then explore the legendary streets of Los Angeles, before concluding with a two-night stay aboard the iconic Queen Mary, now a floating hotel in Long Beach.
Riviera Travel will also be offering Mediterranean cruise tours aboard Voyages to Antiquity’s Aegean Odyssey. Departing October 17, 2017, the eleven-day Aegean Odyssey – Ancient Greece & Sicily tour will see you fly out to Athens, staying the night and enjoying a tour of the Acropolis. The next day, you will embark the 12,000 GT, intimate Aegean Odyssey for a nine-night cruise, visiting Santorini, Heraklion, Valletta, Palermo, Monreale, and Trapani, with complimentary wine with dinner and guided shore excursions of Knossos, Malta, Norman Palermo, Monreale Cathedral and Segesta.
The eight-day Aegean Odyssey – Andalucía & Spanish Coastal Cruise escorted tour, departs October 27, 2017, flying to Alicante, where you will then be escorted to Cartagena to board Aegean Odyssey. You will spend the next four nights onboard, visiting Malaga, Cadiz, and Seville, where you disembark the ship. After a two-night stay in Seville, visiting the Alcázar Royal Palace, the tour heads south-east to Ronda, and continues on to Mijas, where you will stay the night, before flying home from Malaga.
