Princess Cruises has today announced that two new ships will be joining its fleet in 2019 and 2020.
The contract was signed on Saturday at a ceremony at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Marghera, where Majestic Princess is currently being constructed.
“We are incredibly proud and excited to add two new ships to our already formidable fleet,” said Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises. “With this new ship commitment Princess Cruises will continue to grow and expand globally as the world’s destination leader in premium cruising.”
The unnamed 143,700-ton, 3,560-passenger ships will be the brand’s fourth and fifth Royal-class vessels, featuring an evolution of the successful design platform used on Royal Princess, Regal Princess and the new Majestic Princess coming in 2017.
