Luxury cruise line Ponant has announced the names of all four expedition ships due to launch in 2018 and 2019.
Le Lapérouse, Le Champlain, Le Bougainville and Le Kerguelen will be part of Ponant’s Explorers fleet of vessels, with all four names paying tribute to great French explorers who set sail to discover new continents.
The only cruise line to fly the French flag, Ponant has also released a new video showing some of the interior spaces and destinations travellers can look forward to sailing to from 2018.
The first two 10,000 GT ships, Le Lapérouse and Le Champlain, are due to launch ready for the summer 2018 season. A further two ships, Le Bougainville and Le Kerguelen, will enter service in summer 2019, carrying 110 crew members and less than 200 guests.
