P&O Reveals Design For New Ship

P&O Cruises has unveiled the design of its upcoming LNG-powered ship, launching in 2020.

The 180,000 GT ship will feature a giant glass dome complex, hosting an all-weather pool, retractable stage for sailaway parties, a water feature and casual dining options. At night, The Dome will transform into an entertainment venue, home to aerial performances, and mesmerising projections on the roof of the dome.

The three-deck-high main atrium will offer stunning views of the sea, with glass walls either side. On Deck 8, a half-mile Promenade will be home to al fresco dining.

Fact File:

  • 180,000 GT
  • 5,200 passengers
  • 17 places to eat
  • 7 speciality restaurants
  • 13 entertainment venues
  • 4 swimming pools
  • 16 whirlpools

Although the cruise line didn’t announce a name for the new ship, P&O Cruises did announce that its guests would help decide the final name for the ship. Guests will be able to book cruises on the new ship from autumn 2018.
