AIDA Cruises has announced its new ship, AIDAperla, will debut in 2017, cruising around the Mediterranean.
The 125,000 GT cruise ship, a sister to AIDAprima which launches next month, will be based in Palma De Mallorca offering seven-day cruises to Corsica, Rome, Florence and Barcelona, where guests can also embark the ship from.
The ship was originally scheduled to debut this year, but significant delays in the construction of AIDAprima delayed its delivery date.
Construction of AIDAperla is well underway, with the superstructure practically complete. The ship was originally believed to be called AIDAmia, during the early days of construction.
Cruises onboard AIDAperla will go on sale from July 1, 2016.
