TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 1 will transfer to the Thomson Cruises fleet in 2018, it has been announced, with sister ship, Mein Schiff 2 transferring the following year.

As part of a corporate restructure announced last May, TUI Cruises will continue to launch only new ships specifically designed for its brand.

Mein Schiff 1 will depart Singapore on February 28 on a 41-night farewell cruise to Palma De Mallorca, arriving April 11 after visiting India, the Middle East, a passage along the Suez Canal and visits to the Mediterranean. Guests can also embark in Antalya, Turkey for a shorter 12-night cruise.

The ship will join the Thomson Cruises fleet after a refurbishment, followed by Mein Schiff 2 in 2019, once TUI’s new ship Mein Schiff 8 debuts.
