Just days after acquiring the former All Leisure brand Swan Hellenic, it appears G Adventures has also acquired Voyages of Discovery.
The Voyages of Discovery website now features the words ‘Coming Soon!’ and the footer mentions that copyright of the site belongs to G Adventures.
The site tagline also explains that Voyages of Discovery will offer ‘value-oriented discovery cruises on a classic ship to exotic destinations including Antarctica, South America, Northern Europe and South Pacific’.
Voyages of Discovery previously operated the 15,000 GT Voyager, which was owned by All Leisure Group, unlike Swan Hellenic’s Minerva. Using the words ‘classic ship’ seem to imply that G Adventures will not be using Voyager for Voyages of Discovery’s new operations.
Both Voyages of Discovery and Swan Hellenic ceased operations last month, when parent company All Leisure Group went into administration. G Adventures has also purchased former All Leisure brands, Travelscope, Just You, Swan Hellenic, and now it appears also Voyages of Discovery.
G Adventures has not officially announced the acquisition.
