A senior member of FIFA, has been arrested onboard Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream as part of an investigation into corruption within the football organisation.
Hector Trujillo was arrested on Friday, December 4 on board Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream as the ship returned to Port Canaveral, Florida from a 3-night Bahamas cruise.
Trujillo, who was the General Secretary for the Guatemala FA, was also a Judge in the Constitutional Court in Guatemala.
The 62-year-old had been cruising with his grandchildren when US Custom and Borders Protection arrived at his cabin on board the Disney ship.
Trujillo was scheduled to appear in federal court in Orlando later that day.
He is part of 16 defendants from FIFA who have been arrested this year in connection with corruption and bribes.
