On 14th May 2016, myself and assistant writer, Anthony, will embark on a very short cruise from London Tilbury to Hull onboard Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ Marco Polo.
With my hometown situated just 30 minutes away from Hull, I always enjoy any chance to visit by cruise ship! I had previously cruised from Hull onboard CMV’s Discovery on a 10-night ‘British Isles Discovery’ voyage, and it was a very interesting experience navigating the lock with minor clearance either side…so how is the slightly larger Marco Polo going to cope!?
I’ll be catching the train to Gravesend in the early morning, where I’ll catch the ferry over to Tilbury, which will drop me off directly infront of the ship’s bow…how is that for door to door service!?
Marco Polo is a classic ocean liner, with 50 years of heritage. From teak wooden decks, to spacious and elegant lounges, Marco Polo is beautiful both inside and out.
I’ll be live-tweeting throughout the cruise using #CConboard, sharing photos and impressions of the ship.
