The addition of new cabanas and a movie screen are among some of the changes that will be made aboard Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Solstice, when the ship enters dry dock in Singapore next month.
As part of the £6.5 million refurbishment, a movie screen and rotatable alcove-style cabanas will be added to parts of the Lawn Club. Other changes include the transformation of ‘Bistro on Five’ into a new sushi restaurant named ‘Sushi on Five’. The photo gallery will become completely digital, with guests being able to browse and order photos on 25 individual touch-screen monitors. Guests will also be able to download photos onto their mobile devices, share photo memories on social media, and email photos directly to their friends and family. The ship will also benefit from improved wi-fi speeds, along with an expanded art gallery.
Staterooms will receive minor refreshes, including the installation of new luxurious patio furniture on suite balconies.
The nine-day refurbishment will begin on October 22, when Celebrity Solstice enters drydock in Singapore. The new-look ship will then sail to Sydney to begin its fifth summer season cruising from Australia on November 14.
